Saint Adaucus was a nobleman of Italian birth. Emperor Diocletian commanded that Adaucus' town (Astandro, Phrygia) be burned to the ground by Roman soldiers. All the Christians including Adaucus perished and were martyred. Died: 304, Feastday: February 7.
