A missionary and monastic founder born in Ireland. As part of the heroic undertakings of the early Irish monks Adalgis, who was a disciple of St. Fursey, sailed form his home to France. He did missionary work in Arras and Laon and founded a monastery in Picardy. Died: 686, Feastday: June 2.
