SAINT VALENTINE

Saint Valentine was a martyr with a group in 305 along with Navalis, Concordius and Agricola at Ravenna, Italy. There is some question as to whether they were actually martyred in that city. Saint Peter Chrysologus wrote that Saint Apollinaris was the only person martyred at Ravenna. It is also possible that they can be considered synonymous with Valentine martyrs of that same era also declared to have died in Ravenna.

Feastday is December 16.
